Covid-19 update

We have decided to do a 2G+ event, because otherwise e.g. dancing or singing would be prohibited. According to the corona protection regulations in Hamburg, only vaccinated and recovered people who have also been tested are allowed to participate at the wedding.

BUT for boostered guests, as well as for guests who have recovered after two vaccinations, the testing obligation does not apply.

Please have your proof of vaccination ready. The wedding venue are obliged to check these, so please arrive at 1:30pm to get registered. The ceremony will start at 2pm.

We kindly ask you all to bring a FFP2 mask as you will need it in every public area of the wedding venue as well as to enter the boat. You can take off the mask once you have taken your seat on the boat.

Summary: Bring a FFP2 mask. If you are boostered (3rd shot), just bring your vaccination certificate, no test needed. If you are not boostered, please bring a test result that is less than 24h old. You can book an appointment for a free test here: Corona Freepass Hafencity Überseequartier

Dress Code

We would like to inspire you to be creative and daring with your color and style choices. Why not try a flashy outfit? A sequined or ornate dress, wild prints and patterns with expressive colors. For the men bold colors and patterns are very welcome as well. Express your imagination in your choice of suit, shoes, shirt or accessories.

If this makes you very curious or nervous, we have gathered some inspiration here.

Briefing

o. Sorry, but we are Germans. If you come 5 minutes late to the ceremony, you will have missed the kiss. Translation for our international friends: Don't be later than 1:45 😁

1. We would recommend to bring a warm jacket to throw over, an umbrella and sunglasses in case it gets cold, rainy, windy or sunny. Hamburg weather is unpredictable, but you will be prepared!

2. We will hold our civil wedding on Friday, the 22nd, and celebrate with our family that day. This means that the 23rd is completely dedicated to celebrating with our friends.

3. The day is not really designed to be fun for children, but if you would like to bring your kids along, let's get in touch and we can find a solution.

4. If you would like to contribute a performance or a speech to the day, please reach out to:

Lisa Jordan +49 176 84037827
Malte Fiedler +49 151 51864208

5. We are monitoring the Covid-19 situation and will keep you informed about possible restrictions leading up to the wedding.

Gifts

We don't expect any gifts, especially when you are traveling to Hamburg for the wedding. If however you would like to contribute something to our "honeymoon" (aka support our plans to live on our sailing boat for the next year), we would be very thankful. But please remember, we don't have space for any physical gifts on our boat 😘

If you haven't already, please ...RSVP here
